The latest news from the Women's and Men's sections.
KoalaW2018
On 20th May we held our annual Koala Carnival. The event this year proved to be very popular and also a great success.
Firstly the weather was extremely kind to us and we were lucky enough to have players from 10 local clubs playing alongside our own ladies.

Winners on the day were –
Overall Winners
- 1st Place went to one of our own teams of Helen Quinlan, Janet Downer and Robyn Noonan.
- 2nd Place was taken out by a Castle Hill team.

Morning Winners – also went to one of our own teams of Yvonne Kavanagh, Kaye Bailey and Kaye Eagle.
Afternoon Winners – was a composite team from Castle Hill and The Hills.

VALE BEVERLEY WITHERS

Unfortunately the WPH Women’s Bowls lost a very vibrant and well loved member this week with the passing of Bev Withers after a long illness.
Over 20 members of our Club attended her service today on 4 June.
She will be missed.
Rest in Peace Beverley.

COMPETITIONS

Mixed Triples

The Final of this event was played on 29th May – winners were Dallas Palm, Kaye Eagle and Ross Fitzpatrick.

Mixed Fours

Commences on Wednesday 5th June

Womens Pairs Final

This Final will take place on 6th June, Kaye Eagle & Kaye Bailey to play June Huntley & Robyn Procter.

Women's Triples

The Match Committee have released the draw today.
First round is on Thursday 27th June.

WOMEN’S ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The 2019-20 Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 9th July.

I would like to thank everyone who has made my first year as President a very happy year. I have learnt an enormous amount and we have had a great year.

My thanks to all of the Committee and also to those who give up their time every week to make sure bowls runs smoothly.

The Committee resolved that fees would remain at $500 per annum except for those on the old scheme of $100 plus $15 green fees.

TRAVELLING BOWLERS

13 – 23 October, currently we have 45 travelling to Mudgee.
Everything is taking shape nicely.

BOWLS SHIRTS

Just a reminder that the Club has available in the Rewards Room a small supply of the old men's shirts with the sponsors name on for a cost of $10.
Once these have been sold the new shirts will cost $30.
Greens update

The Greens Committee was requested to purchase new rink end bins and numbers to enhance the appearance of the greens.
