Selections for the trial match against North Ryde RSL on Saturday 12th January have been posted on the Pennants tab.
There will also be a trial match against Asquith on 16th February. More details later.
Trial match today against The Hills saw the 3s and 5s at The Hills with 6s playing at home.
The 3s had a great afternoon. Out of the box early and looking to carry the lead all the way to the end, however, late in the game the boys from The Hills climbed over us and took the lead. Unfortunately for the Hills, their lead was pegged back to make the match a draw at 60 all.
The green was running quick with plenty of finish compared to our home greens, making this a test of how well we adapted. As the game progressed, the breeze increased demanding further adjustments to our game.
I enjoyed today’s match. The team worked well together and the opposition provided plenty of challenge and entertainment.
I hope the selectors were able to glean some useful information from today, after all, that’s why we have trial matches.
