2013 Hornsby Cup Wrap-up

Overall we had a pretty good result from this 2 day tournament.

Having won the singles and fours on the Saturday, we were in a lead position with Wisemans Ferry of 2 wins.

It was then up to the triples and pairs matches on Sunday.

Unfortunately the triples went down to a superior and more consistent team. So did Wisemans Ferry.

Along came Peter and Kevin for the last match of the day - pairs. If they could manage a win and build the overall margin, then WPH were in with a chance. As it turns out, they won with a healthy margin.

That win gave us 6 points from the 3 wins.

Unfortunately we had to settle for overall second place, beaten by Wisemans Ferry with 3 wins and superior margin to ours.

Congratulations go to Wisemans Ferry, taking out the trophy for the second year running. Not bad for a small club. Just goes to show that it is not all about size.
