2013 Men’s Minor Singles – Semi Final

Semi final matches today between Ian Corke and Geoff Seamons, and John Leonard and Jeremy Thiedeman produced some very good bowls despite the dramatic change in the speed of the green compared to the last few weeks.

In the Corke/Seamons match, scores were level after a few ends and they stayed within 2 points until the end. Fantastic contest between these two. Final score saw Ian Corke defeat Geoff Seamons 31 to 28.

In the other semi, Jeremy did his best to keep with John, however, John adapted to the speed of the green and crept away from Jeremy, taking the match 31 to 19. A top effort from from Jeremy who has not been bowling very long at all.

Umpire for the day, Peter Eagle, was kept quiet busy using the orbital and checking length of jack. Peter had need to refer to the rule book to clarify a situation. Don't see that often.
