What a weekend of quality singles bowls. Spectators were well rewarded.
Round 2 - Saturday
Les Watkins had total command of the game from early on only to face a resurgence from Steve Arnold. Les took out the match 31 to 26.
Dom Surace had a good lead over Ross Fitzpatrick for a large part of the game until Ross found hos mojo and took the game 31 to 25.
Rod Gamble was in his usual jovial mood when he faced Chris Judkins. Chris is bowling with 20 year old bowls that take a very late swing and doesn't get too many chances to hone his bowling skills, however this did not stop him from playing some very tidy and impressive bowls. Chris won 31 to 18.
Darrin and Clive had the quickest game of the day, where Clive just couldn't take a trick. Darrin bowled consistently to earn his place in the next round.
Despite Jim Ede's best efforts, Mike Brown was not going to give an inch, eventually winning 31 to 11.
In the match between Ian Corke and Keith Robinson, Ian could do no wrong from the outset, and held a very handy lead. Keith, being the battle hardened fighter he is (the reason he has won this event many times previously) dug deep and slowly clawed hos way back to take a 31 to 28 win. A great match to watch.
A great display of consistent bowling from Michael Trimboli forced Kevin Tuckerman to dig as deep as he has ever done in singles. As the game closed out, both players were focused and delivering impressive bowls. The experience won out with Kevin winning 31 to 30. A great fight by both bowlers.
A very friendly game between Dallas Palm and Michael Schwarcz saw Dallas take the game 31 to 18.People are aware about the medical term best viagra pill erectile dysfunction. Ross Fitzpatrick was absolutely on fire in this match, not giving Keith a sniff of the jack. Keith staged a late comeback however it was just a little too late. Ros won 31 to 6.
Dallas Palm was not able to continue his form from Saturday for more than the first few ends. Darrin on the other hand, lifted his form and once settled, was not going to hand the mat back. Darrin won 31 to 11.
The match of the day was between Chris Judkin and Kevin Tuckerman. These two were never more than a couple of points apart for the whole match. In the end, the match came down to the wire with Chris the victor at 31 to 27.
