The day started out just a little damp following overnight rain and morning drizzle leading to considerations of delaying the final. A quick check of the BOM website and the decision was made to proceed.

Ian Corke, Ross 'Armchair' Iredale and Merv Cannon, Don Couch, Mal Horner, Kevin (Tuckers) Tuckerman. On paper, it was anyone's guess who would be the victor today.
The match started with both sides taking points from the other as they felt their way on the slow track.
By the 10th end, Tuckers was holding a small lead of 10 to 5 and starting to get comfortable, while Armchair was asking his team for a little more support (not walls).
On the 21st end needing 7 to draw, Armchair was forced to kill the end to give his team another chance to level/win the match. Armchair's first shot was wide and Tuckers breathed a sigh of relief. Armchair reloaded and this time did not miss, driving the jack out of bounds and raising hopes of a last-minute come-from-behind victory.
The extra end did not go as planned for Armchair, with Tuckers and his team running out victors with the scoreline 19 to 10.
Congratulations to Merv, Don, Mal and Tuckers on a great win.
