The final between last week's section winners, Phil Crocker and Bhisham Singh was played under ideal bowling conditions - clear sky, mild temperatures and only a zephyr of a breeze.
Bhish started the scoring jumping to a 5 to 1 lead after 5 ends. Phil hit back winning the next 8 ends to hold a lead of 14 to 5 after 13 ends.
Bish did his best to restrict Phil from winning all the ends or at least hold him to single points ends, however, Phil was on fire and was not to be denied victory today.
The final score was a win to Phil 31 to Bhish 16.
The bowling from both bowlers was of top standard. Delicate draw shots edging out shots, drives taking shots from the head. A great display by both novice competitors.
This result makes it the second runner-up result in a row for Bhish who will get another chance in 2020 to take the title.
Marker for today was President Ross Iredale and the umpire was Dallas Palm.
