Two games to start the Mixed Fours championship for 2019 were played today.
In game 1, Peter Boyd, Robyn Noonan, Merv Cannon, Dom Surace took on Les Watkins, Dallas Palm, Kaye Eagle, Ross Fitzpatrick. Dom and crew looked to have the upper hand for the first stage of the match until Ross & Co slpped into the lead on the 13th end. From there on it was a one sided affair despite best efforts by Dom & Crew. Final score was Ross 20 to Dom 9.
The second game between June Huntley, Steve Arnold, Robyn Procter, Ian Corke and Sharon Houston, Rod Houston, Heather Hardwick, Steve Hardwick was a tight tussle with scores locked 10 all on the 14th end. Like the other match, things changed dramatically after this with Ian's team taking all but the last end to win the game 23 to 12.
