Under windy and mostly sunny conditions, the 2019 Mixed Triples final was executed between opposing teams - Keith Robinson, Robyn Procter, Ross 'Armchair' Iredale, and Dallas Palm, Kaye Eagle, Ross 'Wrongn' Fitzpatrick.
Armchair took his team to a good lead early on after tickling kitty through the head to pick up 4 shots on the second end. I'm glad we didn't see that action too frequently! By end 6, Armchair held a lead of 10 to 6.
By this stage, we had basically adjusted to the speed of the green, the wide draw and the intermittent (unreliable) wind, allowing us to build some pretty good heads under the conditions (well some of the time at least).
By end 13, the scores were levelled at 15 each, and it looked like this was going to be a close game. Indeed, the remainder of the match was a close tussle with scores levelled on the 16th end at 17 each, and again on the 18th end at 18 each.
Wrongn picked up the last 3 ends to take the final 25 to 18.
