My sincere thanks to all those who were on the Executive Committee as well as all other Committees during the last 12 months. It has been a pleasure to work with you all. To those who re-stood for 2019/20, a big thank you, and to the new members who have joined us, I hope you enjoy the experience.

The 2018/19 year has been one of moving forward with some new initiatives including mixed bowls on a Saturday which has proved very successful. Many of our ladies commented on how great it is to play against and with the men as they are learning and improving their bowls with this extra competition. We look forward to the continued support of the men’s section and thank them for welcoming the ladies to Saturday bowls.

We have had several new ladies join us this year, some from other clubs and others new to the game and we thank Kaye Eagle for putting the time into teaching those new bowlers.

With Yvonne Kavanagh being elected to the Secretary’s position at the 2018/19 AGM, the club became very well organised with everything now at our fingertips on computer. She has become a great acquisition to the Executive Committee.

This year saw us win the Leonie Hunter Rose Bowl against Beecroft for the second year in a row and it has been pleasing to see so many of our ladies competing in Carnivals at other Clubs.

The Fashion Parade and Koala Carnival this year were huge successes and shows what can be done with a little hard work and input from new committee members.

The 2019/20 year ahead gives the new Executive Committee a chance to consolidate and push forward with some new ideas from new faces.

In closing I would like to say a big thank you to Judy McCreadie who retired from the Committee after many years. Judy has held several positions on the Committee over the years and her knowledge will be missed.
