The first of the Round 2 games, between Rod Wright and Dom Surace, started evenly as the players settled in. Scores were 4 all after 4 ends. Rod nailed a 4 on the 5th and 12th ends to build a lead of 17 to 8 after 12 ends. Picking up several multi-point ends including another 4, Rod smothered Dom out of the contest. The final score was Rod 31 to Dom 10.
Don Couch and Darrin Ede made tough work of their match, with the scores Don 4 to Darrin 8 after 9 ends. Darrin increased his lead to 21 to 10 after 20 ends. Don, however, was not finished yet, clawing back the gap to level the scores at 22 each on 27 ends. Having won this event in 2018 and runner up in 2019 and semi-finalist in 2017, Darrin knows how to push on, claiming 5 of the next 8 ends to win 31 to 26 over Don after 35 ends.

Geoff put his foot down, winning 5 of the final 7 ends, claiming a 31 to 22 victory at 35 ends.
