In the 5s, recent changes saw a much more harmonious and cohesive side take on Toongabbie at Toongabbie. The Peter Eagle All-stars (Mike Brown, John Leonard, Rod Foster and Peter Eagle) combined well again to win their rink 20-13. The David Wilson Warriors (Jeremy Thiedeman, Keith Robinson, Michael Schwarcz and I) fought to a close loss of 19-15 and the Kevin Tuckerman Kings (Les Watkins, Darrin Ede, Geoff McIntosh and Kevin Tuckerman) came home with the bacon to win 21-17. The 5s claimed an 9-1 win ahead of their next game against Denistone Sports at WPH.
In the 6s, a resounding victory against the Hills was a fantastic result with a big board win of 65-47. The D’Costa Dreadnoughts (Norm Jackson, Don Couch, Rod Gamble and Gerard D'Costa) had a big win on their rink 28-10. The Palm Pilots (Michael Trimboli, Dom Surace, Ross Fitzpatrick and Dallas Palm) recorded their first rink win of the season 22-17 with the PVT Titans (Brian Joyce, Gary Tyrrell, Ross Iredale and Paul van Tilburg) going down 15-20. The 6s claimed an 9-1 win ahead of their next game against Beecroft at Beecroft.
The 7s recorded another great win, this time over NBC (Northmead) Sports 64-59. The Max Walters Marauders (Clive Donohoo, John Skidmore, Ian Corke and Max Walters) came very close with a 20-21 loss. Cole’s Crusaders (Steve Arnold, Merv Cannon, Steve Watson and Bob Cole) had the goods with a 24-17 win. The Stubbin Superstars (Jim Ede, David Howell, Barry Walker and Don Stubbin) also came close with a 20-21 loss.
