We ventured east to Bondi on what was forecasted as a wet and windy day.
The boys from Bondi gave a warm welcome and invited us to 'test out their track'. We soon realized why they had been enamored with our green when they had journeyed to our club.
Similarly to the previous contest, the Bondi crew showed their skills and consistency. In the singles, Peter put up a great fight and was holding level for most of the game. Unfortunately a few ends went against Peter and the gap opened. Final score was 31 to 22. Good effort Pete.
Keith & I started well and played a strong game despite what the final score might indicate. On a draw game basis, we were definitely causing concern as evidenced by the number of ends that Gary (skip) resorted to drives to take us out if the head.
The Fours had a great result. At no time dud they look under pressure and cane up with a mighty win. Congratulations to Matt and the lads. That may give North Sydney some hope for their match with Bondi this Friday.
