Norm Scott, a great bowler and very well liked member of our club, passed away last night.
Norm attended our Open Day last Sunday and enjoyed rolling a few ends. Norm looked in his element. He was genuinely enjoying himself.
Anyone that has had the privilege of chatting with Norm and enjoying a dark ale with him will certainly miss his big friendly smile and ready banter.

Norm was sent off by a very large gathering of family & friends.
There were a number of our bowlers and representatives from the Sports Club in attendance.
I was deeply saddened at the news of Norm’s passing. He was a man full of friendly banter and jokes.
It was just last Sunday that he rolled up on a rink along side me and I remember asking him if he would like me to put his name down for some lessons. There was no spoken reply …. just a ten second glare followed by a cheeky grin and laugh.
It is that grin and laugh that I will remember whenever I think of one of the real good guys …. farewell friend.
