From the President – August Management Committee Meeting

This afternoon I wrote to all members to inform them of the decisions taken by your Management Committee at our last meeting. This will be my final update to members as President and I am delighted to take the opportunity to highlight some of the achievements made by your Management Committee

Installation of the Trophy Cabinet
I am pleased that after fighting for this cabinet for three years, it has finally been installed. While your Management Committee would like to have seen it in a more prominent place in the Sports Club, it is better than not displaying the trophies at all.

Zone Rookies
West Pennant Hills will host the Zone Rookies for the last time this year with the Singles held this coming weekend (12-13 August) and the Pairs (26-27 August). West Pennant Hills has a proud history of excellence in hosting this event. Best wishes to Rod Houston and Steve Hardwick in the competition.

Upcoming Events
The final Turn Around Triples for 2017 will be held at WPH on Monday 21 August 2017. We currently have 24 entries. Thank you to Steve Arnold and his team for coordinating.

Best wishes to Clive Donohoo and Mike Brown in the final of the Bill Menzies Minor Singles final to be held this Friday 11 August.

Also, good luck to Clive Donohoo and Max Walters and Michael Trimboli and Steve Arnold in the final of the Minor Pairs on Saturday 12 August.

President's Day will be held on Saturday 19 August. I look forward to joining with all members for this fun day. Please check the sheet on the notice board in the Sports Room for further information.

The 49th Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 9 September at 10.15am. I encourage all members to attend and contribute at our most important meeting of the year.
