JPs honoured for 50 years of service

Some of the state’s longest serving Justices of the Peace (JP) are members of club who were recently recognised with a 50 years of service certificate. Merv Cannon and Maureen Boyd received this honour with Maureen attending the award ceremony at NSW Parliament House last week.

It is a remarkable achievement to provide half a century of service as a JP, and one that deserves to be honoured. As JPs of 50 years, Merv and Maureen have played an important part in the legal system and in our community by helping hundreds of people at key moments in their lives, such as when they buy a house, access superannuation or go to court.

Congratulations to Merv and Maureen and thank you for your wonderful community service.
