WPH Bowling Club members and their partners are invited to a two night tour which will include two social games of bowls over two days and general recreational activities for the group. The venue for fun and games includes accommodation at Koala Shores Tourist Park at Lemon Tree Passage and bowls at Lemon Tree Bowling Club.
WHEN:
Two nights to include Monday 27th October 2014 and Tuesday 28th Oct. One night stays are also available.
WHERE:
Koala Shores Port Stephens Tourist Park is on route to Nelsons Bay approximately two and a half hours from our club. The park is well located on the Port Stephens waterways and surrounded by native bushland including Koala Sanctuaries.
They offer us a variety of Cabin and Lodge accommodation which suits most budgets. From basic/standard cabins, such as the Waterview Cabins and Lodges at $115.00 per night for two people to larger Cabins and Suites at $170.00. These will accommodate more than one couple. The park also offers many other facilities for us to use, in particular a large under cover and sheltered barbeque and dining area.
LEMON TREE PASSAGE BOWLING CLUB:
The Bowling Club is a part of a greater club known as Club Lemon Tree. There are two greens one of which is artificial. We have the bowling club booked for Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
The facilities here look good and the restaurant at the club is likely to be our venue for a group dinner on our second night.
PROPOSED ITINERARY
27th October – Monday morning travel to Koala Shores. Check in around midday. Prepare for afternoon bowls commencing 2 pm.
Return to Koala Shores after bowls for happy hour pre dinner drinks. Barbeque dinner at 7.00 pm.
28th October – Morning at leisure. Following lunch a return to the bowling club for 2.00 pm start.
Return to Koala Shores for pre dinner drinks and prepare for group dinner at Club Lemon Tree at 7.00 pm.
REQUIREMENTS:
Indicate your interest by placing your name on the attendance list on the bowls notice board.
From the Koala Shores website select the style of accommodation that suits your needs and proceed to booking.
Book your own accommodation directly with Koala Shores. Deposits will be required at this time. Please note that this is a very popular tourist park and booking early as possible will be necessary to secure your accommodation and avoid disappointment..
Provide you own food and drinks, in particular for the barbeque on Monday evening. Either take your food with you or purchase at Lemon Tree Passage where there are a number of specialty food stores including a supermarket.
