Grade 3
Off we trundled to Carlingford with hope in our hearts for a good game because for the first game this season, the sun was shining and the sky looked as though it would treat us well.
Ok, the weather treated us well, but the opposition spared no effort in repaying our drubbing from Round 1!
No matter how hard Pete's team tried, we just could manage to hold ends. Basically outgunned by all 4 players. Final score 13:40.
Terry's team faced an initial deficit but always stayed in touch. About halfway through, they managed to get their noses in front. Unfortunately, they dropped the last couple if ends. Final score 16:27
Michael's team also started with a small deficit and fought hard to keep Carlo close. Final score 16:18
Overall, 48:85, 0:6 points.
Well done to Carlo.
Grade 6
A great result from the lads at home against Ryde X Phoenix.
Steve and the boys had a solid win at 28:20, whilst Tony's team managed a narrow 17:16 victory. The bolter for the day was the result by Paul and his team - a massive 39:6 victory!
Overall result of 84:42 and 6 points to WPH. A great result and certainly helps your chances for the finals.
Grade 5 results are in another post by Rod.
