In swelteringly hot and muggy conditions, WPH had our second trial game ahead of the 2016 season against the Hills Bowling Club with all three WPH grades participating.
In the 5s, Peter Eagle’s team cruised to the front early on and never looked like losing, taking a convincing in 25-8. Kevin Tuckerman's team had a reversal of their success from the week before recording a 31-7 loss while Geoff McIntosh's team were in touch for most game with the Hills just getting away in the closing ends with the Hills winning 24-13. In the 6s, Don Stubbin’s team recorded their second double-digit winning margin of the season, helping the side over the line with Dallas Palm’s team and Paul van Tilburg's recording small losses. The 6s came away with a razor thin 2 shot win 59-57.
In the 7s, WPH always looked like winning the day with Ian Corke’s team and Tony Boughton’s team recording double-digit winning margins and Bob Cole’s team only going down by 4 shots.
