What a day! We were delighted to welcome over 70 visitors to WPH to try our game and experience what we have to offer at West Pennant Hills.
Your Management Committee has put a lot of time and effort into organising this event, and were ultimately rewarded with this fantastic turnout for our first open day of the year.
My thanks to members (in no order) Clive Donohoo, Dom Surace, Ian Corke, Darrin Ede, Ross Iredale, John and Dianne Leonard, and Jeremy and Sue Thiedeman for bring friends and family to our club for the day. Thank you to these members for pitching in, coaching, and showcasing what our club has to offer. I hope to see all your guests back at WPH soon. This is especially true of two guests of Dom Surace, know to Mike Brown and I as Lachlan 1 and Lachlan 2, who bowled superbly.
My thanks also to other members who assisted with other guests. These helpers included Steve Arnold, Peter and Kaye Eagle, Denise Hopkins, Judy McCreadie, Veronica Doyle, David Roles, Gerard D'Costa, Anne Lucietto, June Huntley and (recruiter-in-chief) Bernice Francis. No matter what was asked of these members, they demonstrated why WPH is "the friendliest club in the Hills".
