The new Pennant Season has commenced and after 3 Rounds, our win ratio is not looking good. This year the Ladies have joined the Men’s Pennants for the very first time. WPH has entered two Grades, 5 and 6. Results to date are:
Grade 5:
Played 3 games. The first against Denistone resulted in a 50-60 loss, despite winning 2 Rinks. Game 2 was against Pennant Hills, again resulting in a narrow loss 52-59. The third game was played on Sunday at WPH. Early morning showers threatened to cancel the game, but after getting away to an early lead, the wheels fell off. The final result was a loss 59-69, Ross Iredale’s team having the only win. Rod Wright was unavailable for both games and will be welcomed back this weekend.
Grade 6:

This weekend the Fives play Brush Park at Carlingford and the Sixes play Merrylands at WPH.
