Last Monday the Tassie travellers visited the historic site of Port Arthur. The visit included a guided tour and boat ride around the harbour.
On Tuesday, the Tassie travellers visited the Cascade Brewery, Australia's oldest. We were all invited to "pull" our own beer to sample. We were a merry bunch by the time we had to leave.
Our next stop was the peak of Mt Wellington. Luckily the early morning clouds cleared to provide a breathtaking view of Hobart.
We headed for lunch at the Sandy Bay Bowling Club before we had an enjoyable afternoon of bowls with the locals. Ross Iredale presented a plaque to Club President Anne Shield and Bowls Organiser Bruce Price in recognition of their hospitality.
A delicious evening meal was prepared and served to us by volunteers from the Sandy Bay Club. They made us feel very welcome.
