Travelling Bowlers 2018 – Canberra and South Coast
Since returning from our last tour to Cairns and after much deliberation, I have now identified an itinerary with destinations for the next WPH Traveling Bowlers tour.
I am very pleased to announce that I have now commenced in earnest the process of securing accommodation, coach hire and arranging for our 5 bowling matches to be played during the Tour from 23rd September to the 5th October 2018.
Our first destination is Canberra where we will spend 5 nights and play two games of bowls against two Canberra bowling clubs. There is much to do in our capital and we are also there during the Floriade Festival. We will depart the ACT for the southern coast of NSW, where beautiful Bermagui will be our next destination. Here we spend 4 nights and play two games of bowls one in Bermagui and the other against Merimbula Bowling Club at Merimbula. Lots to take in at these superb seaside locations. We then make our way back towards Sydney with a stop and stay for 3 nights at Huskisson, where we will play a game against Huskisson Bowls.
A luxury coach will cover all of our travel needs. The coach will be with us all days, for all tours and transits in and around our accommodation. Negotiations are well advanced.
To progress matters, which includes the firming up of room costs for our accommodation and coach rental costs I need to know of the numbers who will make this tour. Needless to say I will need to book up all matters ASP.
Indicative costing of accommodation and travel costs (the tour package) is approximately $3,000 per couple or $1,450 for a single traveller sharing their accommodation/room with one other. I can safely say that these indicated costs are at the higher end of expectancy and the final package cost is likely to be significantly lower.
