Bowls Premier League – November 8 to 11
The fourth edition of the Bowls Premier League (previously known as the Australian Premier League) will be held at Club Pine Rivers next week. It will be televised live from Tuesday 8th to Friday 11th November from 6pm to 11pm each night on Fox Sports 3. That’s 20 hours of LIVE bowls (or bowls that you can record and watch later). For those that don’t happen to have Foxtel, why not support a nearby Bowling Club with Foxtel and watch it there – there are over 70 Bowling Clubs around Sydney with Foxtel.
Our great city will once again be represented by the Sydney Lions, who will be searching for their first title. Making up the Lions team are: Aron Sheriff, Karen Murphy and Ben Twist (Coach: Gary Willis).

Scorecard Scam
Please be aware that there is a scorecard scam running again by the company Elite Scorecards. This company goes to clubs offering to give them free cards, then goes to local businesses and strong arms them into ‘sponsoring’ the Club, several Clubs at once usually. This company is doing this in the name of the Bowls Club, not in their own name, yet Elite are pocketing the profits. In many cases, the scorecards never even arrive at the Club.
It is very hard to find good sponsors, don’t let your Club lose their marketability by letting outsiders take control of their good name.
Have fun on the greens,
