Cameron (our green keeper) and I had a good look at the greens this morning. With the amount of rain that we have received over the last few weeks and in particular the last few days, although the greens are holding up well it is necessary to place some restrictions on their use until they have dried out. Cameron has done well to even have them up for our Koala Carnival held today.

The following restrictions on the use of our greens apply until further notice:
  • There will be NO roll ups or training on either green this week (4 May to 8 May inclusive) If we have dry weather this week as predicted, we may be OK from that point.
  • Rinks 12,13 & 14 running North/South (Top Green) are not to be used until further notice. Rink 11 is marginal and should not be used if possible.
  • It is intended to turn the Top green to run East/West. There will be some limitations on rink use.
  • The Bottom green is to be turned to run East/West. It may remain this way for awhile. The edges on the Northern side are very wet and need to dry out.

Cameron may also need to restrict the use of the greens for spraying and other reasons, please watch the notice board. It is appreciated the restrictions may cause some inconvenience, however they are necessary if we are to get through the Winter months in good shape.
