West Pennant Hills WBC was privileged to host the finals of both the District Open Fours and the District Senior Fours today. The weather was very favorable, sunny and perhaps a little warm but there were no complaints. Interestingly Pennant Hills and Asquith were competing against each other in each of the sections.

The winners of the Open Fours game was the Pennant Hills team of D. Stephens, C. Foster, W. Bell with Skip J. Partridge defeating the Asquith team of L. Bulmer, N. Crump, M. Khamis and Skip B. Davis, 24 to 14.
The winners of the Senior Fours game was the Asquith team of J. Bennett, S. Andrew, H. Maloney with Skip J. Wilson defeating the Pennant Hills team of J. Summerson, P. Crotty, A. Drummond with Skip B. Fairbairn 21 to 15.

The scores do not reflect the challenges faced and both games were very inspirational to watch. The friendliness and good sportsmanship was very evident. A very enjoyable morning of bowls was enjoyed by the spectators and supporters of these worthy players in a finals match.
