Tonight, I was delighted, along with Vice President Steve, to make a donation of $623.45 to the Cherrybrook Brigade of the Rural Fire Service today on behalf of the members of the the Men’s Bowling Section.
Talking with Captain Gavin Pringle and Deputy Captain Andrew Berriman at the presentation, both remarked how much these sort of donations were valued by the RFS.
The money donated will go towards the purchase of new ladders for the Brigade’s main tender. With a hot summer fast approaching, I know all members are hoping that despite this donation, the Rural Fire Service enjoys a quiet summer this year.
