Teams were chosen for 2021 and practice began on Thursdays. We had quite a few games against each other and a trial game against Beecroft which we won despite their higher grade so that instilled confidence. Then the draw came out and we discovered that Northmead was the only other club in grade 4. A bit of a letdown after our preparation but beyond our control.

We expected to be playing against the winner of the Macquarie District grade 4 pennant in the Regionals in June but Covid-19 has had a lasting effect on bowler numbers and there were no grade 4 entries at all in Macquarie.

So we are off to the State playoffs to be held in the Kingscliff area in far northern NSW in September. Hopefully, it will be warmer than when we last played in the State playoffs in Culburra in 2015.

We will be having a trial game against some male pennant players from Pennant Hills and hopefully other clubs in the coming months to make up for the lack of match practice. Hopefully, we can do West Pennant Hills proud in September.
