This week we hosted The Hills at home. We were looking to repeat the performance of round 2 when we took 3.5 points.
In the pairs, Jim Ede and Kevin Tuckerman had a close battle against The Hills team of Gary Christoffel and Winston Barnes. The biggest margin was 4 points and although WPH won 11 ends, the final score was 17 all.
The triples team of Peter Boyd, George Winter and Bob Cole also had a good close tussle with The Hills team of Taka Tochikawa, Billie Weller and John Crockett. Both teams traded ends for the first 16 ends when the scores were 12 all. Unfortunately for our boys, that was when The Hills put their stamp on the game, winning the last 5 ends to take a clear win 21 to 12.
The overall result was a loss 29 to 38, 0.5 points to 3.5.
