The WPH Sports Club - Living Choice Carnival went extremely well and combined with the beautiful weather, made for a fabulous day which was well received by all participants. Many commented on what a good time they had. The first prize winning skip, Beau Berry in his speech mentioned how appreciative he was for the Living Choice Retirement Villages Sponsorship to make these events possible, and looked forward to continued sponsorship, as do we all!
There were 84 Bowlers in the tournament which is our maximum capacity of 28 teams of 3 players over two Bowling Greens. Three people volunteered to be officiators, Player Registration and official Score keeper (Kay Iredale), Controlling body (President Ross Iredale), and Umpire (Dom Surace). Thanks also to Max Walters and Jim Ede for assisting, Dallas Palm for the Scoring Software.
Starting at 8:45am, two games of 12 Ends were played with teams facing a different team after the first game was completed. By 1:30pm most games were finished, and players sat at their tables ready for lunch.
At 2:15pm Carlie and Gail from Glenhaven Living Choice Retirement Village arrived to present the prizes. There were a lot of happy faces!
A big Thank You to Living Choice Retirement Villages for sponsoring this event.
