Well the first round didn't get off the ground last weekend due to excess rainfall. At this time of the year, our greens have only a very thin cover of grass and as such it doesn't take much rain to take them out of play. This is even more critical when we have club championships to complete before the greens are renovated for the coming season.
The dates for the rounds have been moved back and there will be an expectation that all players do their bit to ensure no further delays to the games.
The forecast for this weekend is looking favourable, so lets keep our fingers crossed. If the dry weather holds out, we will have some terriffic games on fairly quick greens.
All the best.
